Why did Saul go to the city of Damascus?

Saul wanted to arrest Christians in Damascus, then take them to Jerusalem for trial and punishment.

God told Ananias to go see Saul.  Ananias was afraid, but God told him to go.  God had big plans for Saul.  What plans?

God said Saul will tell Gentiles (non-Jews), Jews, and kings about Jesus.  Paul will also suffer much for Jesus.

At first, Saul hated Christians and he hated Jesus.  You might think he could never become a Christian, but God can do amazing things.  Do you know a person who doesn’t like Christians or the Christian faith?  How should you think about them?  Should you think they can never become Christian?  Or should you think God can still make them a Christian?

God can truly make them a Christian.  What can you do?  You can pray for them often.  Show them true Christian love and kindness.  Tell them what God does in your life and how they can trust Him also.
