Thought question: Jesus said He didn’t come for righteous people. He came for sinners. If we try to show God how good we are, will that make God love and forgive us? If we admit we are sinners, will God love and forgive us? |

If we try to show God that we are good people, that is the same as saying we don’t need forgiveness. That is a lie. We fool ourselves. God wants us to speak the truth. He wants us to admit our sin and ask forgiveness. God wants us to trust Jesus and not trust our own good actions. Then He does forgive our sins. |
