John’s disciples and the Pharisees fasted (ate nothing for a time).  Did Jesus’ disciples fast?

No.  Jesus explained that while He was with the disciples, they will not fast.  But after Jesus is gone, they will fast again.

On a Sabbath day (Saturday worship and rest day), the disciples walked through a field.  What were they doing in the field?

Picking grain and eating it.  The Pharisees were upset and said they were working and breaking the Sabbath law.

Thought question:  Jesus said God made the Sabbath for people.  He didn’t make people for the Sabbath.  Which is more important, the Sabbath or people?

That means people are more important than the Sabbath.  The Sabbath is here to help us, not rule us.
